PiET UH COD FREE-FOR-ALL/DUOS TOURNAMENT 1/9/2021

A Google Doc form will open AFTER the PayPal payment is complete. Please fill it out to register for the tournament.

Quick Guide

  • Go to https://uhpiet.wixsite.com/uhpiet/piet-uh-cod-tournament

  • Pay using the PayPal Button

  • After payment you will be redirected to a Google Doc form you need to completely fill out

  • Join the PiET UH Gaming Discord (link in the Google Doc form)

  • Check in within one hour before the tournament begins

  • Once the tournament has started you will be assigned to a group

  • Submit screenshots of your games within 15 minutes after each match ending to the PiET UH Gaming Discord

  • After all matches are over we will add up all the scores, and announce the top 3 winners by end of day

Pre-Tournament Requirements

All players are required to join the PiET UH Gaming Discord after registering (the link to join will be in the Google Doc form after payment).

Tournament Structure

Depending on the amount of people that register we will either play multiplayer free-for-all or Warzone Duos. This tournament will take place in private matches. Players will be assigned to a group. Each group will play 3 matches (for duos) or 5 matches (for multiplayer). After each match each player must submit a screenshot of their results on the PiET UH Gaming Discord within 15 minutes. After all matches are completed we will add up the scores, and the top 3 players will receive cash prizes.

Game Rules

Call of Duty Modern Warfare Multiplayer Free-For-All or Warzone Duos

Cross-Platform games. 

 

Points System:

The points system will be as follows:

  • 1st place: 10 points

  • 2nd–5th place: 7 points

  • 6th–5th place: 5 points

  • 16th–25th place: 3 points

  • 26th–50th place: 2 points 

  • Kill: 1 point

  • 10 kills: additional 2 points

  • 15 kills: additional 3 points

  • 20 kills: additional 4 points

  • 25 kills: additional 5 points

  • 30 kills: additional 6 points

Prizes

Cash prizes will start at $200, $100, and $50 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively. After 50 participants register the cash prizes will go up with each additional 20 participants that register! The more people register the bigger the cash prizes! Tell your friends, and spread the word out about the tournament for a chance to win more money!

Lobbies

Players are responsible for logging in on time for their games during the allocated time.

 

Proof of Results

Players must submit their scores with a screenshot/picture to the PiET UH Gaming Discord. Make sure to have your camera ready to take a picture of your game results as soon as its shown. Failure to do so will result in a disqualification.


The player will have 15 minutes after each match is over to submit these results. If they fail to do so within this time, they will be disqualified and their results will not be counted.


Screenshots can be taken with a camera, or using the screenshot option on your relevant system. Camera photos MUST be clear.


PiET UH highly recommends every player to record their games in case any complications occur.


Timestamps or other methods for validating your results are recommended in the event of any complications.


Anyone submitting false, fake or doctored proof to advance yourself in the tournament will be disqualified, and banned from future PiET UH tournaments.


If we receive zero results that player will be considered forfeit.

 

Responsibilities

By signing up to participate in any PiET UH online tournament, you agree to comply with the rules and regulations set out by PiET UH and with any and all decisions made by its team and tournament organizers.

 

Check in

Players will have a maximum of 15 minutes after the tournament  starts to join their corresponding lobby. If anyone fails to meet this deadline, they will be disqualified from the tournament. All participants must make sure that their game is fully updated or installed ahead of time before tournament starts. Game updates will not be accepted as a valid excuse. Players must use the same Activision ID as registered originally in the tournament Google Doc form.

 

Staff Communication

PiET UH support team will be available at all times on our Discord server during tournament times. These details will be provided to every participant ahead of time. PiET UH suggests participants join the PiET UH Gaming Discord ahead of time to be kept up to date, and have a direct line of communication with the support team. At no time will we request personal information from you. If this happens please contact universityofhouston.piet@gmail.com immediately to validate the request. Do not send any information until you have had approval from our Gmail.

 

Verbal Abuse or Harassment

Here at PiET UH, we're all about friendly competition. Whereas the usual 'trash talk' is generally accepted, we have a zero-tolerance policy against hate speech, racism, disrespectful behavior or bullying. Should any player be caught doing so, they will be disqualified, and a permanent ban put in place.

 

Glitches / Exploits

Any player caught 'cheating', using any sort of exploit, hacking, or any mods that would deem an unfair advantage will be immediately disqualified and banned from entering any other PiET UH tournament. PiET UH reserves the right to issue a match disqualification or warning to any players they choose to. Should there be a bug in the game, players should immediately contact the PiET UH support team. PiET UH support team will not discuss reports with anyone other than the persons affected by the game in question.

 

Spectators

No spectators are allowed in-game other than the PiET UH support team, who will always confirm their appearance ahead of a game. Please be wary of people posing as a PiET UH support team member. If you are unsure, please contact us directly at universityofhouston.piet@gmail.com.

 

Pausing

Pausing will only be allowed in the event of a disconnect, to a maximum of 5 minutes. Should the pause go any longer than 5 minutes, the player will be disqualified.

 

Disconnects

PiET UH is not responsible for any sort of connection issues or disconnections. No restarts will be allowed unless it is deemed necessary by the PiET UH support team.

 

Streaming

You have permission to stream any PiET UH tournament, however it is a requirement to tag PiET UH in all posts and shout outs.

 

Miscellaneous

PiET UH (the tournament organizer) reserves the right to modify any rules and regulations before the tournament starting time. PiET UH holds the right to ban any player without reason, nor is it necessary for the PiET UH support team to discuss the ban in further detail. Players can appeal the ban by submitting an email to universityofhouston.piet@gmail.com
