TUTORING SESSIONS
As the Petroleum Engineering Honor Society, we pride ourselves on excelling academically. Our Upperclassmen take the time to give back to the students just starting off in their degree plan. We offer tutoring sessions outside of the classroom to help our fellow students prepare for their exams.
COMPANY TOURS
We provide several company tours to our members. They offer a jump start on their professional development, and career. They get to network with professionals in the industry, and see first hand how operators and service companies conduct their business. They are exposed to current equipment, software, and training these companies are developing for the ever-changing industry.
GUEST SPEAKERS
We strive to bring engineers from the industry to engage with our members at our meetings. In an effort to provide information on their respective companies, what they do on a day-to-day basis, and what their company is looking for in a new hire. We also provide a Q&A session where you are free to ask questions pertaining to your individual needs or concerns.
CERTIFICATIONS
We are constantly reaching out to companies who can offer technical training, especially certifications. This is extremely important to give our members a competitive advantage when they begin searching for internships, and entry-level positions. We set our members up for success to make sure they obtain a position in the industry after graduation.
